About Me
Fathiya Saleh, a stand-up comedian, writer and actor, born and raised in North West London to a Somali mother and Yemeni father. Described by Chortle as “an absolute delight”, her stand up has brought her to venues across the UK, to Latitude Festival and live on TV on the BBC Comedy Asian Network. Saleh was a Funny Women finalist in 2022 and has performed as part of the Annual Comedy Queen's sold-out UK tour three years in a row, performing at O2 Indigo Greenwich, Earth Hackney and more. Saleh has provided comedic material for Jack Whitehall’s BBC Bad Education and written for BBC Horrible Science. She has starred in the short film “Where To” by Jill Worsley and co-written and acted in the play “I REMEMBER” as part of Somali Week 2024. Saleh has opened for several international North American comedians, including Zainab Johnson, Dave Merheje, Nataly Aukar, Atheer Yacoub and Hassan Phills. In 2023 Saleh performed abroad at the Riyadh Laughs Comedy Festival and has also performed in Sweden, Egypt and New York. Listed in Dua Lipa’s Service 95 magazine as one of “5 Artists Bringing A Fresh Perspective To The Comedy Scene”, Saleh has been described as “one of the most underrated yet exciting performers on London’s live stand-up scene.”
